Luke Sorenson and I went for a really hot ride during the peak heat of the day. We took lots of breaks to snap pictures and eat rasberrys as needed for energy. Rita's italian ice was a must stop on the way home!
Here is a link to the salisbury maps from the VMB website. Salisbury Maps
Here is Luke doing a log ride across a small stream.
And here I am on the same log.
There is a section of the trail that goes under a large set of power lines. It was here in the hot dusty trail that we stopped tog et these pics.
I slammed that rock pretty hard!
Towards the end of the trail when it smoothes out there is a large boulder you can ride over after a series of S curves. It took me three tries before I was able to perfectly jump the gap after the boulder.
Luke got a great small video of me doing the boulder jump on his camera. Check it out below.
It was over 90 degrees that day and Luke and I were really sweating it up. Luckily there were lots of ripe rasberries to keep us going. We kept stopping for breaks to pick the bushes clean.
We stopped at one last little rock section that is easily jumped on the way down from the Dodson parking lot.
All in all, another great ride. Thanks for the pics Luke! |
