I spend so much of my life cycling, working on bikes, thinking about bikes, talking about bikes, and enjoying bikes, I am pulled toward making cycling movies. Now that I am armed with a new digital video camera, I am ready to merge these two hobbies!
Fools in Paradise
My second major film endeavor resulted in a movie titled "Fools in Paradise ". It was the summer of 2001 and Zach Valchar, Rob Weilland, and I basically spent the summer shoveling dirt jumps in a cow field outside state college. The short film is dominated by dirt jumping and urban assault scenes. This was done at a time when I was vigorously pushing my free ride capabilities. Unfortunately it was at the end of this summer that I dislocated my elbow for the 5th time and broke my wrist resulting in two separate surgeries that completely put me out of riding for the end of the summer. Good thing I could still work the mouse! I will publish this video online when I get it converted back into digital form from VHS.
In the mean time I have several small vids that are from some of my rides during 2002 and 2003.
