Singapore: Life in South AsiaNo, it's not in China. Singapore is a tiny country on the southern tip of Malaysia, just 80 miles north of the Equator. I never imagined I would be living in Singapore just one year before I boarded a plane on the 4th of Jan, 2005.

It all began when I started working for Prof. Davis Ng in May of 2003 as a Lab Tech in his Penn Jeremy outside the entrance to TLLState laboratory. One thing led to another and Davis made the big decision to move his lab to Singapore were it would take up residence at Temasek Life Science Laboratories (TLL) on the University of Singapore (NUS) campus. I was honored when he asked if I would come to continue serving as the labs primary lab technician! Wow, how could I possibly turn down such an opportunity!

After many nights of conversation with Kelly, we decided that I would go to SG as proposed by Davis and that Kelly would take a sabbatical from her business, rent her house, and fallow me to live in SG. Wow, incredible!

I have to give Kelly the majority of the credit for the very detailed SG pages which she wrote while living in Singapore. You can find all the old Blog entries as new web pages below. For newer entries please see the the travels page under Singapore or any links past June.
